"I'm working to reign-in the size and cost of state government and make Albany's budget work more like your family budget, all while better protecting local taxpayers along the way. I'm proud to have helped deliver the largest state tax cut package in more than 20 years, which will slash income tax rates to the lowest levels since WWII and help more families, seniors, and businesses succeed in our community. To provide real relief to all those who bear our highest-in-the nation property tax burden, I also voted to extend the state property tax cap and expand the property tax rebate program to save the average local family over $350 per year. It's a good start, but I'll never stop fighting to make our region a more affordable place for everyone.

Rich delivered for us by:

Leading the charge to cap state spending growth below 2% annually and forced Albany to live under the same set of rules that our local school districts and municipalities follow.
Voting to cut income tax rates by 20% for a total of $4.2 billion that would save the average family over $700 per year and deliver the lowest tax rates since World War II.
Fighting property taxes by expanding the STAR and Enhanced STAR property tax relief programs, plus extending property tax rebates to save the average family $350 per year.
Ensuring that the 18-A energy tax will be fully phased out. This burdensome tax cost businesses and residents alike billions since its inception in 2009-2010
